I like to photograph children and families doing what they do best, playing and having fun. Using informal surroundings, I keep the session friendly and relaxed to create portraits that document not just the big smiles, but the quieter moments too.

For my portraits, I work exclusively in black and white for its simplicity and tonal quality. I work on location so I can come to your home or to a favourite park (or both). I also use available light so no distracting lights and backgrounds, just me and my camera.

Your session will usually take 2-3 hours although I will shoot until I am happy and I can alway work around a child's routine especially with very little ones.

Rain is not a problem, we can wear wellies and raincoates and jump in puddles, shoot inside, or if it is really bad, we can always reschedule. If your little one is poorly, just let me know and we can fix another date.

After the shoot, your photographs will be ready to view within two weeks. These will be in your own personal online gallery.

Your portraits are available framed, as box frames, in photobooks or as matted prints. All framing is bespoke so can be designed in any way using single or multiple images. Once you have made your choices, I will have your finished photographs ready in four weeks, although I will always try to have them ready sooner if you need them urgently. Photobooks will be ready four weeks after final drafts are approved.

All my portraits are printed on traditional black and white papers. If I shoot on film then I will hand print them myself. I'm really fussy about my work and only use suppliers whose products I really love and consider to be of the highest quality.
